This powerful message centers on one of Scripture's most beloved passages - Proverbs 3:5-6 - calling us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts rather than leaning on our own understanding. The sermon addresses a universal human struggle: we live in a world constantly telling us to follow our hearts, do what feels right, and trust ourselves. Yet God's Word offers completely different counsel. The heart, Scripture tells us, is deceitful above all things. True wisdom begins not with self-reliance but with complete dependence on God. What makes this message particularly compelling is its honest acknowledgment that trusting God completely is challenging because it requires surrendering control over every area of our lives - our relationships, careers, finances, decisions, and futures. We're reminded that God never asked for partial trust or conditional faith. He doesn't want to be a weekend addition to our lives or an emergency contact we only call when things go wrong. Instead, He desires to be the center, the foundation, the guiding force in everything we do. The beautiful promise embedded in these verses is that when we truly trust Him and acknowledge Him in all our ways, He will direct our paths. Not necessarily easy paths, but directed ones. This is the essence of walking by faith rather than sight.
