"Obedience"
In this message from the Forward series, Will Harris explores the power and depth of obedience through the events of Matthew 21:1–11. From the disciples who followed Jesus’ instructions without hesitation, to the owners who released what they had, to the crowd whose praise revealed both devotion and limitation—each response paints a picture of what obedience looks like in real life. Ultimately, the focus turns to Jesus, the King whose perfect obedience led Him to the cross.
Through supporting passages in Psalm 118, John 12, and Philippians 2, this sermon challenges us to examine our own obedience: Is it immediate? Is it costly? And does it endure? As we move forward in faith, we’re reminded that true obedience isn’t just about action—it’s about surrender to the will of the King.
